Unemployment: Mixed Jobs Report

We’ve all heard the phrase “it’s not what you know, it’s who you know!” and when job hunting it can be very true. When job hunting it’s easy to be put off asking people for work or contacts to find work as you don’t want to appear cheeky, but it is a great way to put yourself forward or even just to find out about great opportunities.

This may be the time to take one step back to move two steps forward. Over the past 5 years companies made fortunes writing loans. The unemployment rate has now been above 9% since May 2009, the longest at such level since the Second World War.

Baltimore Orioles (67-95) : The Orioles continue to struggle, and being in one of the best divisions in baseball doesn’t help them out any. However, they are beginning to show little improvement compared to past years.

While employees have to wait longer between pay periods, a bi-weekly payroll is even harder for new hires. Where, with the weekly payroll, a new employee has to work the first week and wait until the end of the next to get a pay check, with a bi-weekly payroll, he may have to wait a month before getting a full paycheck.
